Projects in the open-air Laboratory for Experimental Archaeology Lauresham

In addition to practical educational work, research is another central concern of the Lauresham open-air laboratory. Whether in the field of experimental archaeology, archaeotechnology, agricultural history or archaeology of settlements, a wide variety of research projects are carried out in the laboratory. The research work is conducted either independently or in cooperation with various partners (universities, museums, research institutions). Lauresham can therefore also be described as a kind of “playground for research”, as it offers ideal starting conditions for a wide variety of research aspects and experiments that can also be planned for the long term.
